The committee of the I International Biennial of Contemporary Art ULA-2010, reports that the selection panel, composed of Dr. Elizabeth Marin, a leading art historian and specialist in contemporary art, Dr. Mauricio Navia, director of the Center for Aesthetic Studies at the University of Los Andes, and Merhi Yucef artist, curator and coordinator general of the International Biennial ULA-2010 Contemporary Art, selected 62 works and digital materials, differing from over 600 submissions to the open call for their outstanding conceptual and technical properties, framed in the discourse of modernity.

The works will be exhibited in the spaces Biennial, including Febres House (former home of Don Tulio Febres Cordero), the Faculty of Humanities of the ULA, the Gallery La Otra Banda, among other benchmarks to be published soon. The inauguration will take place on Friday November 19 at the headquarters of the International Biennial of Contemporary Art ULA-2010, located on the ground floor of the Mall Altos de Santa Maria (Avenida University, at the height of the Tour de Lola, Mérida). The toast of opening will be held around 7:15 pm.
