National Societies of the Red Cross in its capacity as auxiliary to public authorities in the humanitarian , performs various services based on community needs, among which include disaster relief and health and social programs. Strategy 2010 guides the actions of the Federation from 2000 until 2010. Defines the four core areas of national societies that are
• promotion of humanitarian values \u200b\u200band principles;
• disaster intervention;
• disaster preparedness and
• Health and in the community.

• preparation in time peace, the duties assigned to it in case of armed conflict.
