Dear Artists:
For political and administrative reasons linked to the National Assembly elections in Venezuela, all academic schedules were affected to the point that many universities country have not yet begun regular activities. This situation severely disrupted the adoption of several crucial elements to kick off the International Biennial of Contemporary Art and the ULA-2010 International Symposium on Aesthetics in the dates initially patterned.
General Coordination of the Biennial and the Symposium, along with the Director of Culture at the University of Los Andes, agreed to extend the opening date for the day November 19, 2010 and closing for the day 18 December. The Symposium will be held from 24 to 26 November 2010.
Similarly, considering the problems of communication and tracking of information between Cultural Department of the ULA and the Directorates of Culture of the universities that operate as collection centers for the Biennial and in view of the late onset of college activities, the Organizing Committee of the International Biennial of Contemporary Art ULA-2010 agreed to reformulate delivery periods of work. Reception jobs nationwide be held September 29 to October 15, 2010 at the following addresses:

• University of Los Andes, Department of Culture, Administrative Bldg, University of Los Andes. 4 th floor. Av Tulio Febres Cordero. Mérida, 5101. Mérida State.
• Central University of Venezuela: University Art Gallery (adjacent to the lecture hall), Caracas. Capital District.
• University of Carabobo: Department of Culture, Glasgow. Carabobo.
• Eastern University: Department of Culture, Cumana. Edo. Sucre (as of October 4).
• The University of Zulia: Department of Culture, Maracaibo. Edo. Zulia.
